Another stop on the Eastern Shore was the Academy Art Museum in Easton, MD. (We did a Historic Walking Tour of Easton on 2/12/2024.)
The museum is housed in the first
chartered school (c 1820) of Easton

Exhibit: Haitian Drapo: The Art of Mireille Delice:
Drapo are Vodou flags, sequin-covered banners used in
ceremonies and in sanctuaries, although Mireille Delice
or Delismé uses tiny seed beads; pictured is Ã‰zili Balyann,
a Vodou spirit associated with love, healing and calming,
who is often depicted as the Virgin Mary with a child
Marasa Dosou-Dosa (2020) are Divine Twins
representing opposing forces, who are pictured as mermaids
Seremonie Granbwa Zile (2020) shows
a leaf-gathering ceremony
