BWoI Swiss Bus (6/28/2026)

Sunday, June 28, 2026
Took SEPTA Regional Rail from the
Wawa Station to Suburban Station and
walked to Dilworth Park in front
of Philadelphia City Hall
Philadelphia City Hall (1871-1901, by
John McArthur Jr and Thomas Ustick Walter
in Second-Empire style)
We were at Dilworth Park for the Big Wheels of Innovation/
BWoI Switzerland Tourism Bus, where we had to use a
QR code reader to download an app, and go through a
series of QR codes to answer questions as if we were
planning a trip to Switzerland, which if completed would
enter us in a contest to win a trip to Switzerland
Our Swiss Travel Pass was also punched for each station...
...which included parasailing over Interlaken,
being photographed at the Matterhorn,
and paddle boarding on a lake in Ticino
We ended with a Lindt chocolate treat: a choice of milk,
dark, or white chocolate Lindor truffles
Dilworth Park features a zero-depth play fountain with 241
individual jets, through which children and adults cavorted
